Distillery Armand GUY
Since 1890

In 1890 Armand GUY began his career, having learned from the most prestigious master distillers of Pontarlier Absinthe, most notably under VICHET.
The GUYs then became known for being the original inventors of not only “Le Vert Sapin”, a renowned liqueur made from the fir tree buds of the Haut-Doubs, but also the famous Pontarlier-Anis, a unique aperitif from green aniseed.
Discover the history of the last distillery of Pontarlier, the former world capital of Absinthe, through the four generations of the GUY family, master distillers from father to son.
