Distillery Visit
In the heart of Absinthe country, come and visit the family owned distillery in its original location in Pontarlier (Doubs, Franche-Comté), with its 100 years old copper stills and oak casks.
The distillery was created at the peak of the golden age of Absinthe in Pontarlier, the world capital of this mythical aperitif (and is the last of the distilleries to have surpassed the times when absinthe had been made illegal).
Discover the incredible story of Absinthe and Green Anis, and sample its many other outstanding products: Aperitifs, Liqueurs and Spirits.
The Visit
The visit takes place in the distillery itself, where you will be steeped in the aromas of Absinthe and Green Anis.
Located rue des Lavaux in Pontarlier, our distillery is part of the town’s heritage (see A Story of Family). It has received the label EPV(Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant), giving it its place amongst the century old family companies representing the french "savoir-faire".
You will be welcomed by our team and guided through the various rooms (copper stills, oak casks, production and bottling), with a commentary explaining the intertwined history of Absinthe, Green Anis and the GUY family.
At the end of your visit you will be able to discover or rediscover the whole range with a tasting of all our products.
We will answer any questions and help you to choose the right product for you, bottle or gift box.
